Minami Matsumoto

Physiotherapist
MPhty, BExSSC

Minami is a physiotherapist with a strong interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, sporting injuries and performance. His own background as a high-level baseball athlete in the United States has given him firsthand insight into the physical and mental demands of training, competition and injury recovery.

After completing a Bachelor of Exercise Science in Iowa on a baseball scholarship, Minami returned to Australia and completed his Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. Since then, he has developed experience across private practice and representative sport, including working with the NSW Men’s and NSW Women’s Softball teams at national competitions and training camps.

Minami takes a practical and individualised approach to physiotherapy, combining hands-on treatment with targeted rehabilitation and exercise. He works with people across all levels of activity, from those wanting to return to everyday life after an injury through to athletes looking to return to competition or improve their performance.

His goal is simple: to understand what is limiting you, build a plan around your goals, and give you the confidence and tools to get back to doing what matters to you.
